Stokan Jaggers & Associates is proud to offer social skills groups which provide individuals the opportunity to improve their social skills while practicing those skills in the group setting.

Social Skills Groups Facilitator

Stokan Jaggers & Associates is fortunate to have Ruth Wilson, LPC-A as our social skills groups facilitator.  Ms. Wilson is a parent of a child on the autism spectrum and has worked professionally with teens and young adults with disabilities for over ten years.

Social Skills Groups Schedule

Stokan Jaggers & Associates holds groups from September to December, January to May, and June to August.  Registration for groups opens two weeks prior to each term beginning sessionsl.

Social Life Groups

Stokan Jaggers & Associates is thrilled to offer our fall series of Life Groups. Groups will begin the week of Sept.16th and end Dec. 14th. They will not meet the week of Thanksgiving, November 25 – 30. Our fall series will focus on topics that may present as challenges during the school year, as well as focus on social interaction and communication skills. Our Young Adult Group will help young adults adjust to the responsibilities and pressures of adulthood. It is our goal that these groups will assist individuals in increasing self-confidence and social interaction skills in order to best prepare them for their daily lives. Groups will be held on Tuesday-Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings..

Junior High Anxiety (Ages 11-14) 5:30 pm Monday
High School Anxiety (Ages 14-18) 6:30 pm Monday
Co-Ed High School (Ages 14-18) – 6:30 pm – Tuesday
Co-Ed Young Adults (Ages 18+) – 6:30 pm Wednesday
Co-Ed Junior High Study Skills: 6:30 pm Wednesday
Co-Ed High School Study Skills: 6:30 pm Thursday
Co-Ed Early Elementary (Ages 5-7) 9:00 am Saturday
Co-Ed Upper Elementary School (Ages 8-10) 9:45 am Saturday
Co-Ed Jr. High School (Ages 11-14) 11 am Saturday

Ruth Wilson, BS. M.Ed, LPC-A holds a Bachelors of Education from Texas A&M and a Masters In Clinical Mental Health from Lamar University. Ruth has worked with special needs students in both public and private school settings as well as for Lutheran Special Education Ministries. From 2010-2019, she was the Curriculum Coordinator and Lead Instructor for a post-secondary transition and vocational skills training program for students with special needs at Houston Community College, the VAST Program. Ruth is a mom of 3 young adults, one of which is on the Autism Spectrum.

Semester Tuition: Tuition is $950 which includes twelve sessions and a registration fee. This is a semester tuition, thus there will be no refunds for missed courses. Should the instructor need to cancel a class, a makeup class will be added to the end of the schedule.

Registration: Registration opens August 19th - Semester Tuition is required to secure a spot in the desired group. We encourage families to register as soon as possible as spaces are limited.
