
Joy Pellerin, MA, LPC
Joy Pellerin is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a desire to help others who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and/or relationship difficulties.
Joy worked as a psychotherapist in a residential treatment facility for adolescents displaying maladaptive behaviors, such as self harming, verbal and physical aggression, running away, and other self-destructive tendencies. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy as well as Trauma Informed Care and a licensed Interactive Metronome provider.
My Story
Joy strives to empower her clients with the skills necessary to make positive changes in their lives. Whether past experiences or current stressors are to blame, Joy is willing to provide a supportive, caring approach in helping her clients achieve their goals. She has worked with families in helping them to rebuild a trusting, loving relationship based on open communication and respect.
Joy obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a teaching certificate and a master’s degree in counseling.
Before becoming a counselor, Joy worked as a high school teacher and then a stay-at home mother of three. She is dedicated to working with individuals in all areas of life and will help them develop the tools they need to be successful.
