Here you will experience hope and healing. My approach is collaborative, empowering, transformational and empathetic. Together we will discover your inner strengths and work towards conquering the barriers that exist between you and your goals. I have a passion for helping clients cope with life’s road bumps and empower them to move forward. I assist clients in understanding who they are and helping them get to where they want to be in life.
Working together, we will cultivate self-compassion and gain control of life. I will strive to empower and educate you on thoughts and self-awareness. We will set goals and work towards gaining the life you desire.
I began working with children 31 years ago. Throughout my career in education, I taught grades 3rd- 8th. I worked for Lutheran Special Education Ministries providing special education services to elementary and middle school students. This led to my position in VAST Academy at Houston Community College where I was the lead instructor for 10 years providing vocational and skills training for students with Autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. For the past 3 years, I have been the Director of Student Achievement for Launch Academy (a middle and high school for students with Autism) in Sugarland. I am also a mom of three; a 25 year-old son and 20 year-old B/G twins. My twin son is on the Autism spectrum. Since his diagnosis, I have made it my life goal to educate the public on neurodiversity and to help these students to integrate, feel accepted and be successful in society. Ruth also provides social skills services in the individual and group settings.
